Fundamental treatment for acne is necessary.
Acne care tailored to your skin
Based on my philosophy as a dermatologist to recommend only truthful treatments, I personally try and assist with only safe procedures.
Acne occurs due to complex causes and inevitably recurs in areas where sebaceous glands are concentrated.
We provide a 1:1 treatment solution tailored to your skin condition to minimize recurrence and prevent scarring by systematically analyzing various types of acne.
We provide 1:1 customized treatment from laser treatment to medication according to the progress of acne.
We minimize recurrence and maximize treatment effects without scarring through management tailored to the condition of the lesion.
Acne treatment without irritation
Gold PTT
This procedure involves applying a photo-enhancer substance (gold) that reacts only to light of a specific wavelength to the skin and then irradiating it with light. The gold selectively generates heat to kill specific cells, and it is being developed for various treatment purposes, including acne
Gold nanoparticles are penetrated into the skin with ultrasound so that the nanoparticles can enter the sebaceous glands. Then, laser is irradiated to selectively destroy the sebaceous glands. The gold nanoparticles stay in the sebaceous glands for about 2 months, removing acne bacteria and effectively destroying only the sebaceous glands without damaging the skin surface.
By treating both the inside and outside of the skin, it helps improve overall skin texture and elasticity. It is a safe procedure that even elementary school students can receive, and it is the most effective acne treatment currently available.

Derma Acne
This device is equipped with micro-insulated needles (needle RF), pulsed light (vacuum IPL), and a radiofrequency (RF) stimulator that helps improve pain. It is the only device in Korea approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for acne treatment, and it is a good treatment method for acne that repeatedly occurs in specific areas.
Vbeam Perfecta
This laser is helpful for treating vascular lesions such as facial redness and red marks caused by acne. It uses a 595mm wavelength that can selectively remove only dilated blood vessels, enabling treatment without affecting skin tissue.
We conduct comprehensive treatment, including medication, laser, and skin barrier regeneration, by identifying the cause of redness and accompanying symptoms for each individual.
Reliable treatment that considers the skin
Are you stressed by your skin that keeps turning red against your will?
Have you ever experienced pain from your skin becoming red, stinging, or dry?
Facial redness is a skin disease called ‘rosacea’, and it is difficult to treat because the cause is not clear.
It can affect a person’s impression and suddenly appear, causing embarrassment.
If you have experienced a decline in quality of life due to just one skin problem, you can get much better at ‘Geudaegoun’ Dermatology Clinic.
1:1 personalized program
“I couldn’t meet people because of facial redness, so I became depressed.”
“Now I can confidently go out, and my skin texture has improved so much that people keep asking me what I did.”
These are the words of a woman in her 50s who suffered from depression due to severe facial redness caused by rosacea.
The key to treating skin diseases is to ‘receive the treatment you need’ through skin diagnosis.
We will do our best to help you with treatment by analyzing and identifying the main causes of facial redness and strengthening the skin barrier so that it does not recur.
At ‘Geudaegoun’ Dermatology Clinic, we accurately analyze the cause based on individual skin, and by providing fundamental treatment according to the cause, we significantly reduce the recurrence rate and increase the treatment effect.
Frequently Asked Questions
What causes acne, and how is it treated?
Acne (acne vulgaris) is a chronic skin condition in which a combination of excess sebum production, the buildup of dead skin cells inside pores, the growth of Cutibacterium acnes (C. acnes, the acne-causing bacteria), and an inflammatory response leads to comedones, papules, pustules, and nodules. For example, the blackheads concentrated in the T-zone (nose and forehead) are open comedones, while the red bumps on the cheeks are inflammatory acne.
At Geudaegoun Dermatology Clinic, we first take a comprehensive look at your skin type, severity, hormonal factors, and lifestyle, then prescribe a tailored combination of topical retinoids, BPO (benzoyl peroxide), and antibiotic creams (topical medications); oral antibiotics or isotretinoin (oral medications); and comedo extraction. How do I choose a good dermatology clinic for acne in Busan?
The key is whether a board-certified dermatologist personally diagnoses and prescribes your treatment. Geudaegoun Dermatology Clinic is located in Haeundae, Busan (Exit 2, Jangsan Station), where four board-certified dermatologists — including a physician who previously served as a professor of dermatology at Pusan National University Hospital — provide physician-led care, personally handling everything from consultation through treatment and follow-up. A cumulative 150,000 patients treated, an 83.7% return-visit rate, and a 67% referral rate all point to consistent treatment results.

Which treatments improve acne scars (depressed scars)?
Acne scars are the depressions, raised tissue, and color changes left behind when inflammatory acne damages the collagen in the dermis. Examples include ice-pick scars (deep, narrow depressions), boxcar scars (wide, sharply angled depressions), and rolling scars (wave-like depressions). At Geudaegoun Dermatology Clinic, we precisely classify the type and depth of each scar, then combine the following treatments.
Procedure process
How are facial redness and rosacea different, and can they be treated?
Facial flushing (temporary blood-vessel dilation) is a short-lived reddening of the face in response to triggers such as alcohol, heat, or emotional stress, while rosacea is a chronic skin condition in which chronic dilation and inflammation of the blood vessels in the central face cause recurring, persistent redness, papules, and visible vessels. For example, if your nose and both cheeks are always red and easily worsen with alcohol or UV exposure, rosacea is likely.
At Geudaegoun Dermatology Clinic, we clinically classify the two conditions (NRS 2-stage; subtypes I–IV) and treat them as follows.
Is there a reason to have comedo extraction done at a dermatology clinic during acne treatment?
Comedo extraction is a procedure in which professional instruments (an extractor and a lancet) are used to remove the sebum and keratin plugs inside pores under sterile conditions. For example, squeezing by hand can spread inflammation deep into the dermis and raise the risk of scarring, whereas extraction by a board-certified dermatologist minimizes the risk of infection and scarring.
At Geudaegoun Dermatology Clinic, professional extraction performed directly by our medical team improves the efficiency of comedone removal, and we operate a combined treatment protocol that subsequently enhances how well medications are absorbed. [Korean Dermatological Association, Acne Treatment Guidelines, 2021 — recommends that extraction be performed by a specialist]

If acne keeps coming back and won’t clear up, what tests or treatments are needed?
Refractory acne is acne that fails to improve after 12 or more weeks of standard medical treatment or that repeatedly relapses; the cause may be a hormonal imbalance, antibiotic-resistant bacteria, or a damaged skin barrier. For example, acne that flares in sync with the menstrual cycle suggests possible androgen excess.
